Who are we?

We are a farming family from Pinnaroo in South Australia, who producing red lentils, wheat, barley and canola.

Before farming, I worked as a teacher and Skeet was in the Air Force, we were given the opportunity to return to the family farm as Skeet took particular interest in its processes.  Fast forward a few years and here we are!

So WHY are we doing this?

Farmers in Australia grow and produce high quality export lentils.  Lentils are an excellent nitrogen fixing plant and help to keep our soil healthy.

We thought it was about time Australian's discovered and had access to these amazing Aussie lentils. We found it ironic that we grow this great food, and then export it. Why?

As you can see on the nutritional panel, our produce is the reason we got excited and decided we needed to change the way we used it.  Whilst we were thinking about this, we had another battle on our hands...

Let's be honest, we know lentils are really good for you, BUT what happens when your kids won't eat lentils and see though all your culinary disguises?

​We had that problem and decided to turn our home grown red lentils into a flour, allowing us to easily add extra protein and nutrients into our diet...without detection from our little people! 

       Our red lentil flour is:

  • Gluten Free

  • A good source of protein

  • An excellent source of dietary fibre

  • No additives or preservatives

  • Fabulous for gut health

With all this in mind, I started adding tablespoons of red lentil flour to thicken sauces/curries and had great success i.e. the kids ate it! I then began to incorporate red lentil flour into our baked goods for lunch box snacks.

We have made lentils simple and easy to use throughout your cooking.
